I never thought I would EVER sign up to be a consultant for anything, especially a beauty line. My skin care routine is embarrassing. My make-up collection is a disaster, a miss-mash of product and brushes collected over the last 10 years. I have always tried to buy products that would be safe for my skin, but never actually read the labels.
I heard about Beautycounter from a friend, Tara Butterwick aka Top Knot Mommy, who is crazy good at her job. Her instagram stories shared insight into Beautycounter, their products and amazing mission. To get safer products onto the hands of everyone. In one post she reminded me that our skin is our largest organ. I couldn’t stop thinking about it, all the shitty products I was putting on my body, being absorbed through my skin. I have never read the back of the bottle (and if I did, I didn’t know what I was looking for).
Beautycounter has banned over 1,500 toxins and is actually doing something about making a change in the way chemicals are regulated in Canada and the US.
I finally made the decision to switch to safer, better beauty for my whole family. (Beautycounter has a baby and kids line too!) I ordered all new make-up and a few things I am not currently using and plan to replace all my products as I go… because let’s face it, I can’t afford to replace ALL of my products in one shot.
I have so much to learn and I can’t wait to share it with you! I’ll be updating the blog and sharing products I am loving.
