My Baby is as big as a: Pineapple (19-22 in, 4.9 lbs)
Due Guess Date: April 23 to 27, 2014
Weight Gained: 13 pounds. I asked my midwife if I should be gaining more weight… she said no. She reminded me to keep eating a well-balanced diet, everything is looking great. My belly is measuring 34 cm at 34 weeks, so the baby continues to be perfectly average.
I found my birth announcement from when I was born… 6 pounds 14 ounces AND I was a week late. I am thinking this boy will be between 7 and 8 pounds and come April 20-something.
Symptoms: Heartburn (just one evening this week, but it sucked). Some backaches, constantly having to pee and low iron! My midwife suggested I start taking iron supplements. No problem. My energy levels have felt normal this week. (Like I actually cooked dinner most nights, normal.) I credit the increased iron levels.
Food Cravings: I was CRAVING bratwurst and sauerkraut Saturday night. Our friends were at St. Lawrence market and picked up some AUTHENTIC sausages. I can’t say I LOVE real bratwurst. I normally would just get the ones from the grocery store. The ones we ate were super creamy and didn’t taste the same.
Food Aversions: Wilted lettuce. (I forgot my lunch one day and had to buy my lunch, not a good salad day.)
Sleep: Still hit or miss. Just trying to enjoy the quiet nights while I can.
Miss Anything? Wearing the clothes hanging in my closet.
Looking forward to: Our prenatal classes are next weekend! We signed out for the Weekend Intensive classes rather than the weekly.
Belly Button in or out? Out
Happy or moody most of the time? Happy with some moody “episodes”. I had a few realizations about how much my life has/will change. Things will not go back to normal when this pregnancy is over, not sure why I thought they would.
New Baby Items: A few receiving blankets, plastic mattress cover and this faux sheepskin rug for the nursery!
Maternity Clothes: I ordered a few things from Zulily. They won’t be here until March 26…
