In the last year I have started baking. Neither Jeff nor myself have much of a sweet tooth (I have lately, but no energy to bake #PregnancyProblems). Monday I decided to make some treats for my Rosie girl! I found a few recipes I wanted to try at My Baking Addiction.
I had a fresh sweet potato so I settled on the Sweet Potato Dog Biscuits.
– 1 sweet potato (cut into cubes and roasted)
– 1 3/4 cups of whole wheat flour (you could sub rice flour)
– 1 egg
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F.
Stir ingredients together in a large bowl until dough forms. (I threw everything into my kitchen-aid mixer and turned it to level 4.) Roll dough into small balls (about the size of a quarter) and place on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Press dough down slightly so the biscuits are about 1/4 inch thick. Bake until golden brown (25-30 min) and let cool on a wire rack.
They were a little dry for a regular cookie but Rosie didn’t seem to mind. I have a feeling she is also going to love the Peanut Butter Pumpkin Treats!
