Saturday – Rest! We were at the cottage and sleeping in felt like the best way to spend the morning.
Sunday – Cottage Run – 7km (5’48″/km) – 4.35mi (9’20″/mi)
Monday – Rest
Tuesday – Travel Day! Between working and packing I didn’t have a lot of time, it was between a run and a mani pedi. It was a tough call but Jeff pushed for the pedi… are my feet gross?
Wednesday – Run – 5.99km (5’15”) – 3.72mi (8’27”)
– Hike – 6.31km
Thursday – Rest
Friday – Run – 5.34km (5’16″/km) – 3.31mi (8’28″/mi). I can really feel the difference in the air out here. I felt like I was going so slow. At 3 miles, Shalane Flanagan announced my time: 25 minutes and ?? seconds. I sprinted. New 5K PB 26:01.
1. Weddings – Our friends took us out for dinner Monday night to our favourite Mexican place. After we ordered they admitted they had an alternative motive to inviting us to dinner. They had some bad news to share with us.
“We’re moving back to Calgary.”
My heart dropped. Over the past couple of years we have come to be very close with this couple (like move in next door and have babies at the same time so our kids can be friends close).
Heartbreak. I think Jessy saw it on my face because a few moments later she spit out a, “Just kidding”!
“We actually would like to ask you to be in our wedding party.”
I have never felt such a wide range of emotions in such a short time. Sad. Mad. Happy. and then back to kinda mad. That was mean guys, but we would be honoured to be a part of your wedding day.
2. Chinese Food – We had the best homemade chinese buffet. My Grandma is an amazing cook (must be where I get it from ;)) and made a ton of delicious chinese food for our family dinner. We ordered in a few dishes as well.
4. Grandparents – Thursday I was able to visit with all four of my Grandparents. At 28 years old, that’s pretty unbelievable. I am so lucky to still have them all in my life.
4. Shopping in Alberta – No PST. No HST. Guess what I am doing today?
