A Back Yard Workout and an Easy Summer Lunch

Saturday morning I woke up craving a run, but my heel has been bugging me a lot lately and I am scared to injure myself.  Jeff mentioned he wanted to go to the gym so I suggested doing our own little back yard work out instead.

Wednesdays I go to a Sport Circuit class at my Goodlife.  It’s kicks my butt every time.  I tried to replicate it…

The class is based on interval training, one minute “cardio” (burpees, plyo lunges, push ups, etc.) alternating with one minute of pilates/abs.  The instructor also introduced me to The Countdown and Agony.

Way more fun than going to the gym.  I love Saturdays.

As you can imagine we worked up quite an appetite.  Runner Girl Eats posted this Spicy Grilled Stuffed Avocado Recipe on Friday.  Walking into the kitchen, I saw a perfectly ripe avocado on the counter and knew what I had to do.

sat2It was tasted so fresh and was surprisingly easy.  Perfect for a summer lunch.  Hope you had a great weekend!
