I am so lucky to have these girls in my life. It’s been 10 years since we have all been together. We don’t often talk on the phone, we keep up with each others lives via Facebook; and for one weekend every two years we take a break from our busy lives to spend time with each other. So much has changed over the years. From small town Alberta, our paths have taken us in many different directions. Calgary, Vancouver, Toronto, Florida. Moms, wives, professionals and scholars. When we get together the filter of our everyday suddenly vanishes and I feel like I am home. I can say anything and do anything without any explanation because these girls just get me. Friends are good. Thanks ladies.
April got us all onesies!! Best. Gift. Ever. I have not taken it off since I’ve been home.
And Rosie loves it too. Jeff? Not as much. I will have to get him one of his own so we can be cozy jersey blobs together.
My iPhone was not as lucky. I am not sure if I have mentioned my unfortunate relationship with water before but, I hate it. I just don’t like swimming, being wet or cold. The ocean scares me, especially when I can’t see the bottom. We were walking along the beach one night in ankle-deep water… when suddenly, a giant wave,
as big as a man about knee height, came out of no where and took me out. Purse, phone, wallet, Nicole…soaked.
I have been without a phone for a week now. It sucks. People that say it’s liberating, I say, you’re lying. I don’t even know what the weather is going to be like tomorrow. I admit, I may be over dependant on my phone. I have to use a camera to take photos now. What the frick is that about? Never mind uploading them to my computer. That’s some buuulll sh!t.
Luckily, about 2 weeks ago, I decided I needed to buy the Garmin Forerunner 110 and it arrived in Canada while I was away. Jeff and I went for a run this morning and I LOVED it. The run and the watch.
(Photo trapped on camera) More on this gem later.
